Dragon Quest: An Open Research Choose-Your-Own-Adventure (in Twine, with narrative and slides for live presentation)
The 'Dragon Quest' Choose-Your-Own-Adventure' was originally developed as a gamified training resource for the inaugural St. George's University of London Research Culture Day held on June 19, 2024.
A 'Choose-Your-Own-Adventure'-style fantasy narrative was used to outline some key 'best practices' for Open Research, including aspects of research data management and Open Access publishing. The Twine game was presented live along with some slides containing additional information and illustrations to encourage engagement.
This resource can be developed further, as needed, and can also be embedded as a web-hosted stand-alone resource.
This folder contains drafts of the Twine code, the narrative script for the current version, the Powerpoint slides for the live presentation and the original (hand-drawn and digitised) illustrations.
Developed by Sarah Stewart with input from Jennifer Smith, Jenni Hughes and Carly Lightfoot.
