A visual resource to assist communication with people with intellectual disability within a medical setting

This first version resource is a digital and printable tool with simple visuals and guidance to aid communication with patients with intellectual disabilities. There is a range of visuals and webpage links. In the appendix there is a model of communication to highlight factors that can impact the effectiveness of communication and some guidance to assist. The document can be downloaded to your phone/device to use when offline. Please contact the authors if you have suitable visuals to include or to suggest an image of need.
