After a research career in the intersections of health, communication and technology, and experiencing the enormous opportunities and challenges of data-intensive science and digital health, I moved into research data management with a specialisation in health and medical data in 2016.
In my current role I lead St George's, University of London's Research Data Strategy. As part of this I develop, implement and evaluate research data policies, processes and infrastructures across the organisation. I actively partner with our professional services, researchers and the wider data community to challenge established practice and drive meaningful change in data handling, sharing, preservation and reuse in order to accelerate data science and advanced analytics for health research.
I am an advocate for responsible data handling, and enabling trust, transparency and innovation in scientific practice though open, collaborative science and cross-sector engagement.
